Improving Services for Homeless Women
Tuesday 24 July*, 9.30am-2.30pm, Crisis

(* sorry info not received in time to give women advance warning of
this
event, but information is being circulated because of the link to
research document that maybe of interest and news of further research
to be available soon - deborah)

Crisis published groundbreaking research on women and homelessness in
November 2006
(http://www.crisis.org.uk/downloads.php/461/Crisis_Homeless%20Women_Su
mmary_23Nov.pdf) and will soon be publishing follow-up research.

The event is a response to a range of issues brought to light through
the research. It will bring together a diverse group of people -
decision makers, practitioners and service-users - from a range of
sectors and services, both non-homelessness and homelessness. It will
be a cross-sectoral exchange of experiences that brings together
examples of good practise. It will also identify areas where change is
needed and how this change can be implemented successfully.
Recognising that the issues facing homeless women span our varied
responsibilities, this event provides an opportunity to problem solve
together.

Please contact Rosie Martin (rosemary.martin at crisis.org.uk) for
further details about the event or to enquire about availability of
places.
