Cranfield Trust MBA Scholarships for the Voluntary Sector in Europe

Cranfield School of Management and The Cranfield Trust are delighted
to offer two scholarships on the Cranfield Executive MBA Programmes
(either Part-time or Modular), starting in January 2008. Each
scholarship covers the full tuition fee over two years. To apply for
one of the scholarships candidates must be working for a European
charitable, voluntary organisation, which is involved in issues of
poverty, disability or social exclusion. Candidates will be required
to go through the normal admissions process for the Cranfield MBA, and
submit a short essay (no more than 500 words) on "Why I should
undertake the Cranfield MBA and how I think this will increase my
contribution to the voluntary sector".

Applications should be submitted from 1 September 2007 and no later
than 31 October 2007.

Suitable candidates will be invited to attend an MBA interview between
September and early November. Candidates who are offered a place on
the programme, will be invited for a second panel interview with the
MBA Programme Director(s) and a representative from The Cranfield
Trust*. It is likely that this will take place in the first week of
December 2007.

The selection criteria for the scholarship will be based on the
following:
* The strength of the application and the accompanying essay.
* The candidate's potential to become a leader within the voluntary
sector as a result of the 'Cranfield Experience'.
* The candidate likely to contribute most to the voluntary sector in
the future.
* It is anticipated that successful candidates will also contribute to
the work of The Cranfield Trust during the programme and in the
future. Candidates awarded the scholarships will be notified by the
School.

The Cranfield Trust

In 1988 HRH The Princess Royal challenged Cranfield University to put
its skills to use to support the voluntary sector and as a result the
Cranfield Trust was created. The Cranfield Trust now offers free
management and technical consultancy to other charities, using
volunteers, many of whom are students or alumni of the University.
