Esmée Fairbairn Foundation changes to guidelines - Advance warning of
change

The Foundation will be taking a new approach to grant-making from
January 2008.

This will be an open, less prescriptive way of working, through which
we will listen to your ideas. They hope to fund a wider range of work
than before, so there is no need to rush applications through under
our existing guidelines. Alongside this new approach, they will also
run a small number of more focused funding strands.

In preparation for this new approach their current Application
Guidelines are no longer available. This is because in their
experience developing a good application can take time. Those which
have been rushed to meet a deadline are less likely to be successful.
They have therefore taken their Application Guidelines out of
circulation as there is unlikely to be enough time between now and the
end of October to put an application together from scratch.

Please note they will accept completed applications under the current
guidance and format until 31 October 2007. Any proposal received after
that date will be dealt with under their new approach from January.

You can register online to receive a copy of the new guidelines as
soon as they are available.
