Compact focus group findings workshop

Cost: Free
Date: Thursday 8 November 2007
Times: 2pm - 5pm
Venue: NCVO, Regent's Wharf, All Saints Street, London, N1 9RL.

As the Compact enters its tenth year, it is important to assess how
far it has come in transforming the relationship between government
and the sector and determine what still needs to be done.

Over September and October Compact Voice, the representative body for
the VCS on the Compact, commissioned an independent facilitator to
conduct a series of focus groups across the country - see
http://www.ncvo-vol.org.uk/events/latest/?id=6078.

This focus group exercise has provided a clear indication of the range
of the sector's experience and current opinion of the Compact.

Several clear themes have emerged from the focus groups and the
information that they have provided will be useful in designing future
research priorities and defining future policy and practice.

You are invited to the findings workshop for the focus group survey.

The workshop will be composed of practitioners, chief executives and
academics.

The findings will be presented and their implications discussed.

Themes and conclusions of the discussion will be fed into the final
focus group report which in turn will form part of a wider annual
sector report to be presented at the Compact Annual Meeting and in the
annual report to parliament.
