Forced marriage and honour-based violence cuts across all ethnic,
religious, cultural and class boundaries. The Forced Marriage Act,
coming into force later this year, aims to address these hidden
abuses.



There is an urgent need for a joined up approach from government,
police and the criminal justice system if progress is to be made.



Attend this half-day briefing to hear from key strategic bodies and
expert practitioners. Sessions on the law, community policing and
specialist third sector provision will provide guidance on tackling
victimisation and supporting survivors.
