Tackling Sexual Violence - Prevention, Prosecution and Victim Support

Capita National Conference: Tuesday 22nd April 2008 - Central London

It is often difficult to bring perpetrators of sexual violence to
justice, while their victims suffer a life sentence of distress. It is
crucial to develop practical measures to help prevent sexual assault,
improve the efficiency of convictions and deliver guidance and support
to victims.

Capita's Tackling Sexual Violence Conference brings together key
stakeholders including the police, CPS, CDRPs, local authorities,
victim support organisations and NGOs, who, are working together to
overome the challenges surrounding cases of rape and sexual assault.
Issues addressed include:

* The latest Home Office initiatives using forensics to investigate
unresolved cases of rape and sexual assault

* Exploring the link between domestic and sexual violence and
developing joined up approaches to tackling them

* The role of Specialist Rape Advocates and their impact on the
prosecution process

Attend this timely event to hear from expert speakers and forward
thinking organisations on effective ways to tackle sexual violence.
Take away examples of good practice and partnership working to benefit
your organisation and improve service delivery in your area.
