New Training Event: Tendering & Procurement in Supporting People
Services

Following our very successful national and in-house Tendering &
Procurement events in 2007 in England and Scotland (over 800
delegates) and our subsequent series of events in 2008 we are pleased
to announce a further updated event on 26th June 2008 in Milton Keynes
. This is being arranged to meet consistent and repeated demand and
will cover similar practical issues as previously, but with new
examples drawn from processes we have been involved in delivering
during 2007 (e.g. Framework contract bids; added emphasis towards
Outcomes; negotiated arrangements etc), and also an update on
consortium options. As always we will be producing a comprehensive
Resource CD-ROM for all delegates.

19th May and Birmingham event on 23rd May. Details of all of our

These events are primarily intended for Providers who are anticipating
needing to tender for existing or new services, but they are also
valuable for SP Team members who need to develop their understanding
of the issues and processes involved. Event outcomes will include:

  a.. An understanding of the legal basis behind tendering and how
local authorities interpret it
  b.. A knowledge of “the market” , how tendering has affected it and
how to manage and work effectively within it
  c.. A set of tools, knowledge & skills based on an information &
discussion approach to training
  d.. An understanding of options available to tenderers and available
market intelligence
  e.. An understanding of how local authorities evaluate tenders
  f.. Equipping both SP teams and Bidders to better manage the process
and deliver a successful Tender.
At £135 (inclusive of VAT, materials, refreshments and lunch) and with
a 10% discount for bookings of 3 or more delegates we can’t be beaten
