EMPOWERING LONDON
Tuesday 25th November
Community empowerment, Local Area Agreements
and a Thriving Third Sector
A London Empowerment Partnership conference, delivered by LVSC
Overview
Empowering London's purpose is to explore the role of the local third
sector in delivering LAAs and community empowerment - specifically
through national indicators 4 and 7 (the % of people who feel they can
influence decisions locally and an environment for a thriving third
sector).
The conference will bring statutory LSP representatives and local
Third Sector leaders together to debate the nature of a 'thriving
third sector', it's links with the community empowerment agenda and to
review London's evolving partnership arrangements in the new LAA
round. Representatives of key regional and national organisations will
also join us to inform the London situation.
With the first Third Sector Survey recently completed and looking
ahead to the Comprehensive Area Assessment and Duty to Involve,
Empowering London is a timely opportunity to bring London's key
stakeholders together, to share information and review our common
aspirations for local partnership work in London.
