T-STEY call for participation - Trainer training in European Youth
Work
The training will take place in Serbia. It is organised by the Serbian
Organisation 'Instage', with partners from 6 different European
countries, including Play-a-Part from the UK. Play-a-Part is looking
for participants to send. The training is relevant to organisations,
managers, church leaders, trainers or anyone working with young
people. It is a trainer training so it will be about developing
training skills and developing skills in Intercultural Learning (ICL)
within youth work.
ICL includes methods centred around understanding cultural contexts,
working with people from other cultures and the challenges that can
sometimes present. By developing ICL the participant will challenge
their own views and gain skills in promoting ICL in practice.
Part of the training course will be about networking and developing
future co-orporation with the partners involved and provides good
opportunity to share good practice across Europe.
The training does not provide a qualification, but the participants
will get a certificate. The Youth Programme is a recognised programme
supported by the European Commission.
As the training is supported by the European Commission there is no
charge. Accommodation, food and 70% of travel costs will be provided.
The participants will be only expected to pay 30% of travel costs.
(normally about £100-£150)
