SEMINAR Leader: Patsy Mckie
Patsy Mckie is the Founder of the organisation 'Mothers Against
Violence'
in Manchester. She and other mothers who have suffered the tragic loss
of
children through gang violence have been offering support to grieving
parents who have had similar experiences.
The organisation aims to involve people at every level of society, and
especially children in schools. Ms Mckie says "There is an enormous
strength
when people come together to join their vision, talent and energy in
their
aim to transform a part of the hurting society in which we live." She
calls
for fathers also to become involved in the movement for change.
