Charity expenses disclosure - online consultation launched



The Independent Expert Group on Expenses has launched a consultation with
charities on whether and how they should disclose their expenses.



The group, chaired by former charity commissioner Lindsay Driscoll, was launched
by the NCVO and the Charity Finance Directors' Group in June in the wake of the
furore over MPs' expenses.



Charities can submit their views by phone (020 7520 2442), email
(expenses at ncvo-vol.org.uk) or post, or by filling in an online questionnaire.



Driscoll said: "This consultation will give everyone the chance to give their
views to us.



"I am looking forward to feedback from a wide range of registered charities so
we can make recommendations on how the whole issue of disclosure of expenses can
be addressed."



The consultation will run until 30 October. The group aims to publish a report
by December.
