Subject: REMINDER INVITE: Women CEO's Special Interest Group Meeting- 10 June 09
Women CEO's Special Interest Group
Meetings: 10 June-London & 01 October-Newcastle
Thank you for your interest in the new Special Interest Group (SIG) for
Women CEO's, the response has been very positive and we are now ready to
take this forward, with what looks like a huge agenda.
We are enormously grateful to two of our commercial partners who have
offered this group such positive support, Bates Wells and Braithwaite
and Dickenson Dees, who will host these meetings in London on the 10June
09 - 17:00-19:00 and in Newcastle on the 01 October 09 - 12:00-14:00.

The original call for the establishment of this network came after the
publication last winter of the ACEVO Pay Survey, which identified a
growing gender gap in chief executive salaries - where inconsistencies
were revealed in comparisons between median salaries of men and women
showing that overall in the sector, women's salary median has decreased
by 2.8% while men's has risen by 3.9% further widening the gender pay
gap.
Since then I have had calls to widen the agenda to include further
issues, such as:
* Women as Chairs and Trustees
* Young women CEO's - succession planning
* The glass ceiling
* Peer support for women CEO's
Whilst we will look in depth at the topics you will want us to
challenge, at the first meeting let us identify our areas of activity,
and ensure that we do not duplicate any other activity, so ensuring what
we can offer is what Women CEO's need from each other and via ACEVO.
