WCVA launches online funding database
Wales Third Sector Funding Portal lists more than 4,000 opportunities
Umbrella group the WCVA http://www.wcva.org.uk/main/dsp_home.cfm has launched an
online 'one-stop shop' to flag up funding opportunities and advice for voluntary
sector organisations in Wales.
The Wales Third Sector Funding Portal, designed and developed by the WCVA's
Sustainable Funding Cymru team, provides access to a database of more than 4,000
funding opportunities in the UK.
It includes information on grants, loan finance, contracts and tendering
opportunities.
With the portal's search facility, organisations can look for funders from
Europe, UK governments, the National Lottery, charitable trusts and the private
sector.
"The funding portal will ensure that third sector organisations in Wales will
have access to the most up-to-date, relevant and comprehensive information
possible on funding advice and opportunities," said Sara Carroll, funding advice
officer at the WCVA.
The portal, which has been funded by the Welsh Assembly Government, can be
accessed through the WCVA's funding website, Sustainable Funding Cymru
