BIG announces consultation results and ambitious new framework for its work to
2015

Today (25 June 2009) BIG publishes Big thinking - our strategic framework to
2015 and What You Told Us. These two new documents are the culmination of the
biggest consultation exercise BIG has ever undertaken - with nearly 3,500
responses to our online survey between November last year and February this.

Big thinking sets out the principles which will underpin BIG's approach to
funding in the UK in the next six years. It explains what we want to achieve and
how we will deliver our Mission & Vision: bringing real improvements to
communities and the lives of people most in need. All of our future programmes
will use the new framework as a starting point and it sets out our ambitions for
being an efficient and responsive funder.

"What You Told Us" is an in-depth analysis of the responses to the consultation,
drawing on material from the online survey and the regional and national
meetings held during the three months of the consultation. It shows where there
was the strongest support for our ideas and where we will want to discuss issues
further in the coming months. It demonstrates how we came to the conclusions in
Big thinking - our strategic framework to 2015 and we see it as a crucial part
of what has been a very open and transparent consultation process.

BIG Thinking BIG's Strategic Framework takes us from where we are today to where
we want to be in 2015. It charts the journey we will make during this period. -
732KB sets out the principles which will underpin BIG's approach to funding in
the UK in the next six years. It explains what we want to achieve and how we
will deliver our Mission & Vision: bringing real improvements to communities and
the lives of people most in need. All of our future programmes will use the new
framework as a starting point and it sets out our ambitions for being an
