Funding to prevent and reduce offending by women

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) will be investing £15.6m of new money to
prevent and reduce offending by women. The funding will invest in the
provision of additional services in the community to build capacity of
one-stop-shop services at women's centres and other specialist
provision for women in the community.

Grants will be administered through the Criminal Justice Women's
Strategy Unit in the MoJ as part of the Diverting Women from Custody
Project. The Ministry of Justice will be investing in existing third
sector providers to enable them to enable them to work with courts,
police, probation and other statutory agencies to provide support and
services to vulnerable women.
